Job Description
Our client a well-known fruit grower and packer, located 3km outside Wolseley has an opportunity available for a detail-driven and organised Financial Clerk to join their finance team. If you have a passion for accuracy, a knack for numbers, and experience in financial administration, this could be the role for you.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Coordinate electricity meter readings and update dashboards.
- Manage petty cash and process transactions on Xero.
- Capture, allocate and process creditor invoices, and reconcile accounts.
- Administer diesel usage records and rebates.
- Compare invoices with delivery notes and verify balances for payment.
- Reconcile bank statements and process payments.
- Issue and manage purchase orders on Xero.
- Renew vehicle licences and assist with compliance tasks.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
- Candidates with 5+ years of experience in an operational business environment with Agriculture background will be preferred.
- Proven experience in a creditors and finance or accounting support role.
- Proficiency in Xero
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Tertiary qualification in finance/accounting will be an advantage.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational ability.
- Must be prepared to work overtime
- Clean Criminal Records
- Good Communication skills
