About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Fitter and Turner / Machinist to join our team at Bilnor Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating conventional lathe, milling machines, and drilling equipment to turn, face, thread, and bore various components.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe, milling machines, and drilling equipment to turn, face, thread, and bore
- Manufacture and refurbish shafts, sleeves, housings, and other components
- Machining parts for Hydraulic cylinders with accuracy
- Machine worn or damaged parts to restore equipment functionality
- Thread cutting / fitting of Helical thread inserts
- Interpret engineering drawings and machining tolerances
- Ensure all machined parts meet required tolerances and specifications
- Conduct precision measurements and quality checks on machined parts
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines and tools
- Ensure adherence to quality control and safety procedures
Requirements
- Turner Machinist Trade
- Minimum 6 to 10 years’ Post Trade Experience
- Strong Pneumatics and Hydraulics Experience
- Physical strength to safely handle mechanical parts weighing up to 25kg
- Experience in MIG welding and building up shafts
- Agri engineering background will be an advantage
