About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Food & Beverage / Front of House team member to join our small, family-run eco lodge for the upcoming season. Set on a beautiful horse ranch along the Upper Zambezi River, this is a unique opportunity to live and work in a remote, nature-rich environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage front-of-house food & beverage operations
  • Maintain a well-organised kitchen, pantry, and stock room
  • Manage stock control, place orders, and handle purchasing
  • Work closely with chefs, assisting in the kitchen when required
  • Implement and manage set menus (with occasional creativity and input)
  • Support the Lodge Manager with day-to-day operational duties
  • Host and engage with guests in the evenings
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and service

Requirements

  • Independent, self-motivated, and highly organised
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail
  • Enjoys being part of a close-knit team
  • Passionate about food, hospitality, and guest experience
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment
  • Computer literate with an excellent command of English

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications required (please include in application for work permit purposes)

Salary & Benefits

  • 9-month seasonal contract
  • On-site accommodation in a stunning natural setting
  • Lunch and light breakfast provided daily
  • Dinner provided when hosting guests
  • One day off per week (can be accumulated and taken during quieter periods)
  • Return flight at the end of the season
  • Initial inbound flight reimbursed after successful completion of a 3-month probation period (subject to mutual agreement)
