About the Role
The Regional Category Manager Animal Resilience and Feed Integrity will be responsible for developing and executing a long-term strategic vision for the Animal Resilience and Feed Integrity category in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. This role requires a strong commercial orientation, creative thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills to drive sales growth and execute category strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the long-term strategic vision and short-term action plans for the Animal Resilience and Feed Integrity category in MEA.
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and market expansion initiatives.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse trends, and deliver actionable insights to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Verify and challenge sales forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide operational support to resolve day-to-day sales and supply chain challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Technical, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless strategy execution.
- Define, track, and report relevant KPIs and performance metrics to senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Lead the planning and successful execution of new product launches, including timelines, budgets, and regional adaptation.
- Conduct continuous market intelligence on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in MEA.
- Gather and translate customer intelligence into product and solution enhancements.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with category strategy and local market needs.
- Adapt and localize marketing materials, technical documents, and promotional tools for MEA markets.
- Design and deliver training programs to Area Sales Managers, Technical Managers, and sales teams on product knowledge and selling skills.
- Act as the primary liaison between the MEA region, Global Sales and Marketing (GSM), and the Specialties Business Unit (SBU).
- Work with the Business Analyst and Regional Technical team to generate insights, business cases, and improvement recommendations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar category management, product management, or marketing role within the animal nutrition or feed additives industry.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and executing category strategies in the MEA region.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining high quality standards.
- Creative thinking with a strong customer and commercial orientation, plus genuine curiosity about animal nutrition solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Fluency in English (Written and Spoken); additional regional languages are a strong advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30% of the time within the MEA region.
