Job Description

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Conducting trade mark clearance searches Managing the prosecution of trade mark applications Handling trade mark assignments, renewals, and amendments Assisting with trade mark and copyright enforcement matters Managing trade mark opposition proceedings before relevant registries and courts Drafting and advising on commercial IP agreements, including licence and co-existence agreements Managing company name disputes Handling domain name disputes and related administration Conducting legal research and preparing opinions on intellectual property matters Advising on intellectual property matters in both South Africa and foreign jurisdictions Minimum Requirements LLB degree Admitted Attorney Passed relevant Intellectual Property Law examinations Minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience within Intellectual Property law
