About the Role
Beach Collection Winelands is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our hospitality portfolio in Strand, South Africa. As a local champion for the brand, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across our properties and driving the growth of our boutique event offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the guest houses and self catering units, ensuring they remain in peak condition.
- Event Development & Marketing: Lead the setup of small event and conference packages, marketing these options to corporate and private clients.
- Guest Relations: Maintain a high standard of service, managing bookings via Nightsbridge and handling guest requirements with professionalism.
- Financial Performance: Manage operational budgets and drive occupancy and event bookings to meet performance targets.
- Team Leadership: Supervise housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in the hospitality sector, specifically within boutique guest houses or self catering environments.
- Location: Must be based within the Helderberg Basin (Strand, Somerset West, Gordon’s Bay) or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Event Savvy: Experience in coordinating and marketing small scale events or conferences is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Nightsbridge or similar property management systems.
