About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team in Tulbagh. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic workforce planning and talent management initiatives that align with our business objectives. You will also be expected to lead our HR function, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: ensure 100% error-free payroll processing
- Human Capital (Talent Density): Improve workforce capabilities and skills, measured by Skills Matrix assessments
- Human Capital (Climate): Enhance employee engagement
- Human Capital (Staff Turnover): Reduction in turnover rates, benchmarked against industry standards
- Decrease in absenteeism rates, tracked monthly
- Productivity/Performance Management: timely and effective appraisals, tracked through completion rates and ensure that 95% of all wage staff are assessed in accordance with review timelines
- Governance & Compliance: ensure zero non-compliance cases in audits
- Systems: ensure that accurate and updated employee data is captured on all HRIS systems
- Empowerment Office Efficiency – ensure that HR/Timekeeping/Payroll reports are accurate and submitted within 48 hours of request
Requirements
- Grade 12 HR Management / Industrial Psychology degree
- SABPP Professional Registration (advantageous)
- At least 5 – 7 years HR experience
- At least 3 years experience in a management/senior role
- Strategic workforce planning and talent management
- Advanced conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to design and implement training and development programs
- Competence in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Ability to work independently and under stressful situations

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
