About the Role
The Hotel Reservationist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless guest experiences at our establishment. This position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all reservation enquiries via phone, email, and online platforms
- Accurately capture and update guest booking details in the Property Management System (PMS)
- Assist guests with room availability, rates, packages, and special requests
- Process amendments, cancellations, and group bookings
- Coordinate closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping teams regarding room status and availability
- Perform reception duties as required, including guest check-in and check-out
- Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, promotions, and policies
- Ensure all reservations comply with company standards and procedures
- Assist with daily reports and reservation reconciliations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Front Office or Reservations environment within the hospitality industry
- Experience working with a Property Management System (PMS)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Customer service orientated with a professional approach
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
