About the Role
A luxury lodge in the Welgevonden Game Reserve, Limpopo , is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join its high-performance hospitality team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mature, creative, and organised culinary professional who thrives in a remote lodge environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver refined plated meals
- Support the Executive Chef
- Maintain consistently high standards across all kitchen operations
- Ensure seamless, memorable dining experiences for weekly international groups of up to 20 guests
Requirements
- 8–10 years’ experience in a lodge, boutique hotel, or fine‑dining kitchen
- Culinary qualification or accredited professional training
- Strong fine‑dining plating skills and refined culinary technique
- Ability to support and occasionally run a lodge kitchen for up to 20 guests
- Strong cost control, stock management, and kitchen administration abilities
- Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
- Own transport and ability to present a transport plan during interview
