About the Role
Our client, a privately owned safari lodge and wildlife estate in Thabazimbi, Limpopo, is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee estate operations, technical infrastructure, staff supervision and grounds maintenance. This role is ideal for a practical all-rounder with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, who thrives in a rural, hospitality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage irrigation systems, pumps, generators, vehicles, fencing and general mechanical and electrical systems.
- Oversee and manage farm and grounds staff, allocating daily tasks, supervising work quality, and ensuring productivity and safety standards are maintained.
- Be proactive in identifying maintenance needs, resolving technical issues efficiently, and supporting the wider lodge operation where required.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure the estate is always guest-ready and operationally sound.
Requirements
- Proven experience in farm, estate or lodge management
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge (essential)
- Experience supervising and managing staff teams
- Practical problem-solving and maintenance skills
- Good communication and organisational ability
- Valid drivers licence
- Comfortable working in a rural safari environment
