ABOUT THE ROLE As the Occupational Therapist, you will focus on hands-on clinical careassessing each patients functional needs, designing evidence-based treatment plans, and guiding them toward greater independence in everyday activities. You will contribute your expertise to an interdisciplinary team committed to person-centred rehabilitation and measurable, high-quality outcomes. EQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING Bachelors degree in occupational therapy with community-service year completed Registered with the HPCSA as an independent practitioner and covered by malpractice insurance CPD portfolio up to date in line with HPCSA standards Bobath / Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) training an advantage Basic or intermediate wheelchair assessment/prescription skills beneficial FCE training beneficial Driving assessment training beneficial Keen interest in both paediatric and adult neurological rehabilitation Minimum 3 years experience in neurology, cognitive therapy, and spinal-cord injury care Broad clinical exposure, including orthopaedics, SCI, and neurology Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within an interdisciplinary team Valid drivers licence and reliable own transport KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of the ICF Framework Good written and spoken English language skills (Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous) Effective interdisciplinary team member Awareness of evidence-based interventions Computer literacy Ability to prioritise workload Able to work independently KEY COMPETENCIES Communication Collaboration Analysis & decision making Initiative-taking Flexibility Humility Curiosity Self-discipline Perseverance KEY BEHAVIOURS Respect for every Individual Willingness to Change Seek Perfection Embrace Scientific Thinking Assure quality at source Think systemically Create value for Customer Minimum salary: R28 569,34 Cost to Company (including benefits) WHO WERE LOOKING FOR (PERSONAL QUALITIES): Clarity and Accountability: Must thrive within an environment that demands role clarity, responsibility, and measurable results.
