About the Role

We are seeking two experienced architects to join our team in Sandton, Johannesburg, for a retail and commercial project. As a SACAP Professional Architect, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions that meet our clients’ needs while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Presentations to partners and clients
  • Rendering
  • Conducting site visits, determining client requirements, and assessing budgetary and regulatory constraints
  • Developing conceptual designs, schematic drawings, and 3D models using CAD/BIM software, ensuring both aesthetics and functionality
  • Preparing technical drawings, specifications for materials, and documentation for building permits while adhering to local zoning and safety codes
  • Liaising with engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical) and contractors to ensure project alignment
  • Regularly inspecting construction sites, reviewing progress, approving materials, and resolving issues that arise during construction
  • Overseeing the project to ensure it remains on schedule, within budget, and compliant with all contractual obligations
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the client, providing professional advice throughout the design and construction

Requirements

  • Min 5 yrs exp in Retail & Commercial Architecture

Qualifications

  • Matric Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design
