About the Role

The Fleet Controller position in Cape Town City Centre requires an experienced professional to oversee the management of raw materials, inventory, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain and logistics, with a proven track record in warehouse and fleet management. This role offers an opportunity for a structured and hands-on operations professional to drive continuous improvement and bring control, visibility, and accountability to complex warehouse and fleet environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee inbound raw materials, stock levels, and warehouse inventory control
  • Ensure accurate cycle counts, stock takes, and inventory governance
  • Act as the central liaison between procurement, production, and quality on material issues
  • Maintain strict compliance with material handling, storage, and quality standards
  • Manage and optimise warehouse operations across multiple locations
  • Supervise staff and ensure adherence to SOPs and operational standards
  • Ensure accurate receiving, inspections, and system capturing of materials
  • Maintain Syspro integrity by ensuring all stock movements and transactions are correctly recorded
  • Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle compliance, maintenance, tracking, and cost control
  • Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and fleet efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement in warehouse and fleet processes
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards (5S)
  • Manage staff performance, training, and disciplinary processes

Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric

Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics

Proven experience in warehouse and inventory management within manufacturing
