About the Role
A leading electronics and technology retailer/distributor in Durban is seeking an experienced Procurement & Import Controller to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, importing, and managing supply chain processes, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and importing goods from international suppliers
- Managing supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products
- Coordinating with logistics providers and customs brokers to ensure smooth importation of goods
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on procurement and import activities
- Analyzing data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, imports, or supply chain coordination
- Strong understanding of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs processes
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems advantageous
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure
