About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team, responsible for providing expert financial guidance and oversight to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Financial reporting and detailed variance analysis
- Overseeing general ledger and ensuring accuracy of financial records
- Managing balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements
- Managing audit processes and liaising with external auditors
- Handling VAT, tax submissions, and SARS compliance
- Improving and implementing financial controls and processes
- Mentoring and supporting junior finance team members
Requirements
- Education: BCom Accounting or related qualification
- Completed articles (SAIPA / SAICA preferred)
- Experience: 4-7 years relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation
- Proven experience in financial reporting and audits
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting systems (Sage, Pastel, SAP or similar)

- Formal education/certifications: BCom Accounting or related qualification
