About the Role
The Pipe Fitter/Boilermaker is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation and maintenance of piping systems and platework construction within industrial installations. The role combines piping activities with structural and platework tasks, performed in accordance with technical drawings, standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing, modifying and assembling piping systems
- Measuring and assembling pipework based on isometric drawings
- Cutting, bending, fitting and tack welding pipes
- Inspecting and maintaining piping systems
- Fabricating and assembling platework constructions
- Processing plate materials (cutting, bending, rolling)
- Reading and interpreting construction and detail drawings
- Preparing components for welding
Requirements
- Grade 12 and Red Seal Trade Test
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of materials and basic welding processes
