About the Role
Edgexec (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. As the custodian of the hospital’s Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System, you will play a key role in translating quality strategy into measurable outcomes. You will be responsible for managing audits, incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement programs, while ensuring consistent delivery against regulatory and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external bodies, including regulators
- Manage and enhance the hospital’s quality and environmental management systems
- Align and drive quality and sustainability objectives across departments
- Compile quality scorecards, reports, and presentations for leadership review
- Analyse trends, risks, and incidents, and drive corrective actions
- Lead deviation management, including investigation and close-out of incidents and audit findings
- Support environmental compliance, including impact assessments and incident reporting
- Oversee healthcare risk waste management, ensuring correct handling and regulatory compliance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in patient experience programs
- Manage the InfoQuest system, including training, access, data accuracy, and reporting
- Conduct and monitor risk assessments and mitigation plan across the hospital
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Quality Management, Healthcare, or a related field
- Proven experience in a quality management role within a hospital environment
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits, and healthcare regulations
- Experience with data management and reporting systems such as InfoQuest
- Ability to engage, influence, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capability
- Understanding of environmental and risk management practices
