About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stock Controller to join our Warehouse Stock Control Team in Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of inventory and maintaining the accuracy of our stock levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Warehouse Stock Control Team through the process of counting and recording inventory.
- Ensure a high degree of accuracy of the location and unit counts of all inventory items and for adequate security and protection of such items.
- Coordinate and process returns in a timely manner.
- Identify customer orders and keep control over customer inventory.
- Develop and maintain the Master inventory count list.
- Process and maintain records of all inventories and investigate discrepancies and shortages.
- Maintain accurate and detailed information on the inventory control system.
- Process damaged and spoiled product returns from customers and/or suppliers.
- Report inaccuracies or damages to the line manager.
- Look for improvements in stock levels and transfers.
- Responsible for Warehouse Administration.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Requirements
- Matric and/or relevant diploma or degree.
- 3+ years proven experience in stock control and inventory management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong data analysis and reporting abilities.
