About the Role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor role at Perfect Placement Recruitment is a critical position that requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage the full cost of projects from inception to final account. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies, as well as compiling, issuing, and evaluating tenders and contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Full cost management of projects from inception to final account
- Preparation of detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies
- Compilation, issuing, and evaluation of tenders and contracts
- Measurement, pricing, and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Ongoing cost control, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Valuation of work done and preparation of progress payment certificates
- Management of variations, claims, and final accounts
- Liaison with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards
- Provide accurate financial reporting to management
- Assist with procurement strategies and subcontractor appointments
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc / BTech or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor (senior-level experience preferred)
- Proven experience on residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management principles
- Proficiency in QS software, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office
