Job Description

Position Overview

The Internal Sales Representative will support the sales department in managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and providing excellent after-sales service. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, customer-oriented individual who is eager to develop a successful career in industrial sales.
No prior experience is required — full training and mentorship will be provided. The role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for building client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Support & Customer Service

  • Handle incoming sales inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms.
  • Prepare accurate and professional quotes and proposals for customers.
  • Follow up on quotations and assist in converting inquiries into orders.
  • Provide customers with product information and technical guidance (training provided).
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers through proactive and friendly service.

Order Processing & Coordination

  • Process customer purchase orders accurately within internal systems.
  • Liaise with the warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
  • Track and communicate order progress to customers.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain customer information and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Assist with compiling sales reports, forecasts, and performance data.
  • Support external sales representatives and management with daily operational tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Matric (Grade 12) required.
  • A technical or business-related diploma/qualification (e.g., Sales, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management) will be advantageous.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and open to learning new systems.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Technical curiosity and eagerness to understand industrial products and solutions.
