About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Ventilation Officer to join our team at Burgersfort, a critical role that requires attention to detail and expertise in mine environmental control. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ventilation systems in our mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of ventilation systems
- Develop and implement ventilation plans to optimize air quality and reduce dust levels
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of ventilation systems
- Monitor and report on ventilation system performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Maintain accurate records of ventilation system operations and maintenance
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF level 4 Certificate) is essential
- Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control is essential
- A valid code 08 or 10 driver’s license with own transport
- 2 to 3 years working experience at the ventilation section is essential
- Trackless mine experience will be advantageous
