About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and efficient software systems using Java, Spring Boot, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Agile methodologies
  • Implement design patterns and principles to ensure maintainable code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and deploy CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker
  • Integrate with cloud-based services using Kubernetes and RabbitMQ
  • Ensure database management using PostgreSQL

Requirements

  • Relevant IT qualification – Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma in an IT related field
  • Good experience with Java, Spring Boot, design patterns, and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of Angular and Spring Framework is advantageous
  • Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes is advantageous
  • Familiarity with RabbitMQ and PostgreSQL is advantageous
