About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Rebar Detailer- Structural to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for producing accurate rebar layouts and schedules from design information and drawings provided by others. You will utilize software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or specialized rebar programs to create 2D/3D models and layouts. Your primary focus will be on ensuring project deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of work.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate rebar layouts and schedules from design information and drawings provided by others
Use software like Revit, AutoCAD, or specialized rebar programs to create 2D/3D models and layouts
Perform accurate material take offs and estimate total reinforcing steel quantities
Review rebar layouts and schedules to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines

Requirements

2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally at an engineering firm within the structural division
Proficient in MS Office suite
Working knowledge and experience with the Rebar scheduling code: SANS 282
Ability to work in compliance with ISO 9001 QMS System
Strong proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD

Qualifications

Grade 12
