About the Role
An experienced Maintenance Planner is required for permanent employment based in the Cape Town Region within a high-performance steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance planning, with experience in heavy industry and a relevant technical discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to optimize plant availability and reduce downtime
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure effective execution of planned activities
- Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with logistics and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth material flow and inventory management
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including CMMS/ERP systems
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Maintenance, or a Technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in Maintenance Planning within heavy industry
- Experience in steel, metallurgy, logistics, or manufacturing environments advantageous
