Assistant Front of House Manager | Luxury Hotel | Cape Town Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Front of House Manager for a luxury hotel based in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for guest service excellence to join a high-performance front of house team. The successful candidate will support the senior management team in overseeing all front of house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth service delivery, and strong team leadership within a fast-paced luxury environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervising and coordinating all front of house operations to maintain high service standards Supporting the achievement of sales, service, quality, and operational targets Training, mentoring, and developing front of house staff to ensure consistent performance Managing staff scheduling, labour control, and operational efficiency Maintaining strong guest relationships and ensuring outstanding customer service at all times Acting as a key point of contact for guest queries, feedback, and complaints Overseeing reservation processes and ensuring accurate management of booking systems Supporting stock control, monitoring variances, and ensuring proper ordering processes Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational standards Managing cash-ups, reconciliations, and daily handovers in line with procedures Overseeing cleanliness and presentation standards across all front of house areas Supporting administrative duties, reporting, and operational documentation Assisting with staff performance management, including disciplinary processes where required Working closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations Requirements: Matric certificate Hospitality Diploma or equivalent qualification advantageous WSET Level 2 or similar wine knowledge qualification advantageous Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar front of house management role Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities High energy with a proactive and adaptable approach Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Solid understanding of reservations systems and front of house operations Package: Salary negotiable depending on experience Live-out position Candidates who meet the above requirements and are interested in this opportunity are invited to submit their CV to apply for the role.
