About the Role
A high-volume hotel in Cape Town is seeking an enthusiastic and service-driven Hotel Receptionist / Guest Experience Agent to join the Front Office team. This role is guest-facing and operational, requiring strong systems skills, excellent communication, and the ability to remain professional and welcoming in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally
- Manage reservations, room allocations, and guest profiles on Opera PMS
- Provide accurate information and assistance to guests throughout their stay
- Handle guest queries, requests, and basic complaints with professionalism
- Liaise with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure room readiness
- Maintain front desk standards and administrative accuracy
- Support Guest Relations and Duty Management during peak periods
- Deliver a consistent and welcoming guest experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services
- Experience working in a busy hotel environment
- Opera PMS experience is essential
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- South African ID
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant Hospitality qualification (advantageous)
