About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring, empowering, and results-oriented leader with a passion for service excellence to join our team as Night Manager in Cape Town. As a key member of our hotel operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all night shift activities, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, safety, and seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor all employees on the night shift, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Lead, coach, train, and support team members, addressing performance where necessary.
- Direct and oversee all hotel operations during the night shift.
- Conduct nightly staff briefings and ensure clear communication across departments.
- Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of senior management, handling guest complaints, problem-solving, disturbances, and special requests.
- Participate in decision-making regarding guest relocations during overbooked periods and ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor and develop team performance through scheduling, task allocation, training, counselling, and performance evaluations.
- Complete the daily night audit accurately, including reconciliations and preparation of Daily Revenue Reports.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate Hospitality qualification from a recognised South African or international institution.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Front Office or Night Manager in a busy, high-demand environment.
- Proven leadership experience with strong people management skills.
- Solid background in Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operations.
