Centurion: Chief Financial Officer

Our client is a well-established manufacturing group operating within the OEM space, known for delivering high-quality engineered products and solutions across complex supply chains. The business operates in a capital-intensive environment where precision, efficiency, and operational alignment are critical to sustained success. The CFO will be responsible for leading the full finance function while partnering closely with the CEO and executive team to drive strategic growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. This role requires a commercially minded finance leader who understands the complexity of manufacturing operations, from procurement and production through to inventory management and distribution. Key Responsibilities: Lead the full finance function, including financial strategy, planning, and governance – Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the group – Manage financial reporting, compliance, and risk across the organisation – Drive cost efficiency and profitability across manufacturing, supply chain, and operations – Oversee working capital, stock management, and cash flow optimisation in a capital-intensive environment – Provide strategic financial input on large capital investments and operational expansion projects – Partner with executive leadership on business strategy and performance improvement initiatives – Lead and develop a high-performing finance team Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: – CA(SA) qualification (Chartered Accountant) is essential Experience: – Minimum 10 years experience in senior financial leadership roles – Extensive experience within the manufacturing / OEM industry is essential – Strong understanding of supply chain management, production costing, and inventory control – Proven experience in managing large capital structures and investment decisions – Experience operating at executive or board level will be highly advantageous Skills: – Strong strategic leadership and business partnering ability – Deep understanding of manufacturing finance and operational cost drivers – Strong financial modelling and analytical capability – Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – ERP system experience (SAP or similar) advantageous – Strong decision-making ability in high-pressure environments – Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Apply now!
