Manufacturing Environment (Factory-based role)
Contract: 1 Year Fixed term contract with 3 months probation (possibility of permanency based on performance)
Job Purpose:
The Factory Finance Bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting the finance function within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate financial processing, inventory control, compliance, and timely reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail and hands-on experience with accounting and operational finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review factory expenses and process daily payments and SAP (B1) entries
Verify import customs clearance documentation and support inventory processing with the supply chain team
Prepare sales invoices for export customers and support customer payment tracking and credit control
Assist with inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure proper inventory disposal processes are followed
Manage foreign exchange processes including supplier payments and coordination of forward/spot contracts with finance management
Prepare and submit VAT returns, consumption tax declarations, and NRCS/LEVY submissions accurately and on time
Compile monthly cash flow budgets
Complete month-end closing by the 1st of each month, including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow reporting
Support annual audit preparation and requirements
Perform other finance and administrative duties as required
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance / Bookkeeping (or related qualification)
Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance role (manufacturing experience preferred)
Experience working with SAP (B1) or similar ERP system advantageous
Strong understanding of inventory, VAT, and financial reporting processes
High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced factory or production environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
