About the Role
A fast-growing organization within the fintech space, based in Sandton, is looking to appoint an Accounts Receivable Manager to take full ownership of the receivables and credit control function. Operating in a high-energy, high-volume environment, this role requires someone who can drive collections performance, strengthen controls, and build scalable processes while leading a motivated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounts receivable and credit control functions end-to-end
- Drive collections, cash flow, and debtor ageing performance
- Manage customer relationships, escalations, disputes, and legal handovers
- Oversee reconciliations, cash allocations, and month-end reporting
- Ensure audit readiness, compliance, and strong financial controls
- Analyse reporting trends and proactively identify risk areas
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
- Lead, mentor, and performance-manage the accounts receivable team
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Credit Management
- 57 years experience in accounts receivable/credit control
- 23 years experience in a supervisory or management role
- Proven experience managing a large debtors book in a high-volume environment
- Strong exposure to collections escalations, disputes, and legal processes
- Experience with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and audit support
