East London: Stores Packaging Supervisor posted by Profile Personnel

Job Description

A leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking an experienced and hands-on Stores Packaging Supervisor to join our operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day packaging stores operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, compliance with food safety standards, efficient dispatching of packaging materials, and effective team management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field advantageous
  • Minimum 35 years experience in inventory/stores management within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP and food safety practices
  • Experience working on ERP/WMS inventory systems
  • Good understanding of FIFO and FEFO stock control principles
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage and dispatch of packaging materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, GMP, health & safety and housekeeping standards
  • Supervise and manage stores staff, performance and training
  • Ensure accurate document control and audit readiness
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and operational issues
  • Coordinate effectively with production, quality and other departments
  • Monitor packaging movements and ERP transactions accurately

  • FMCG food manufacturing experience
  • Packaging stores/inventory experience
  • Exposure to audits and food safety systems
  • SAP, Syspro or WMS experience
