About the Role

The Financial Manager position at Morgan Group is a critical role that oversees the financial management of our Dealerships, providing timely and accurate financial reports, managing team performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Financial Department: Timeous and accurate financial management reports for the Dealerships by the 7th of each month.
  • Apply Company Policies: Extract reports and communicate with the General Manager regarding parts aging, demo depreciation, and used deprecation.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile all control accounts.
  • Monitor Easi BI Expense Movers: Reconcile back to management reports and Evolve.
  • Regular Cashbook Maintenance: Maintain cashbook via bank manager and perform monthly cashbook reconciliations for all bank accounts.
  • Receipts and Invoices: Receive receipts for vehicle payments and sundry invoices from banks when amounts are received.
  • Warranty Payments and Incentives: Allocate warranty payments and incentives when statements are received from OEMs, and follow up with managers on unpaid warranty claims.
  • Payment Documentation: Monitor payment documentation, load payments daily, and submit to General Manager for authorisation.
  • Debtors and Creditors: Follow up on outstanding debtor and creditor balances over 60 days with the Debtors and Creditors clerk on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Service and Parts Cash: Enquire weekly on outstanding service and parts cash amounts with managers and service advisors/salespersons.
  • Assistance to Departments: Assist queries from all departments, including logging tickets on Evolve Support Portal if necessary.
