Job Description
- Fleet Management: Oversee all aspects of fleet management. Monitor and manage fleet operations, tracking, fuel consumption, route planning and scheduling. Constant monitoring of driver and vehicle performance and efficiency & finding ways to improve productivity.
- Driver Management: Coordinate driver schedules, routes and assignments, ensure compliance with regulations and Company policies. Assign and ensure execution of tasks to drivers.
- Communication: Liaise with drivers on a regular basis providing updates and resolving any issues. Track orders and deliveries.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Company policies and safety standards.
- Vehicles: Coordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure the fleet is maintained, including scheduling of services and COF inspections for vehicles to remain in a safe and roadworthy condition. Monthly inspections and arrangements for services and repairs.
- Reporting: Generate reports on fleet performance, efficiency, productivity and any other reporting required by management
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Previous experience in fleet management (at least 2 – 3 years) or related field.
- Knowledge of fleet management and technology i.e. tracking will be an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills as well as organizational abilities
- Sober habits.
- Willing to work long hours, public holidays and weekends
