About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our 5-star hotel in Franschhoek, where you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food costing, and inventory control
- Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Confidently operate within a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Collaborate with the hotel’s food and beverage team to develop menus and promotions
Requirements
- Proven experience as Head Chef in a 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office and POS software
Qualifications
- Formal education in hospitality or culinary arts (optional)
