About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager – Housekeeping to join our luxury 5* Game Lodge in Hoedspruit. As the key leader of our Housekeeping Division, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail across all guest areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the running of the Housekeeping Division
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail in guest
- Maintenance service requirements are recorded and reported immediately to the Maintenance Assistant
- Supervise and control the laundry operation in accordance with established methods
- Ensure the guest laundry is collected, washed carefully and returned
- Daily Lodge and staff laundry
- Housekeeping Budget, Purchasing & Control
- Management of the Housekeeping Team
- Recognise great guest feedback and deal with negative guest feedback constructively
- Ensure that all staff are trained in their areas of responsibility and attend regular training workshops
- Assisting at Front of House during guests arrivals or departures or Lodge Site Inspections
Requirements
- Minimum 2 -3 years Housekeeping Management experience in a 5-star boutique operation or Big 5 reserve within a similar lodge environment
- Budget & Stock Control Experience
- Room Division or Front of House Experience
- Hospitality and Service training experience
- Strong leadership & mentoring skills
