About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a polished and service-driven Restaurant Manager for a luxury lodge in the Hoedspruit area. This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering refined, high-touch dining experiences across multiple restaurant venues within a five-star safari environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of all restaurant and dining venues
- Lead, train, and motivate service staff to deliver five-star standards
- Act as primary guest contact ensuring exceptional dining experiences
- Manage guest feedback, requests, and complaints professionally
- Coordinate reservations, seating plans, and service flow
- Work closely with kitchen teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Oversee bar, beverage, and wine service standards and training
- Manage staffing rosters, floor plans, and operational logistics
- Maintain inventory control and ensure compliance with hygiene standards
- Ensure dining areas are maintained to luxury presentation standards
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment. Proven experience managing la carte service for up to 165 guests. Strong experience overseeing multiple dining venues simultaneously. Excellent leadership, staff training, and team management abilities. Strong understanding of international service standards and guest expectations. High attention to detail with calm, composed decision-making under pressure. Valid drivers licence essential.
Salary & Benefits
R20 800 per annum (live-in position)
