About the Role
A leading supplier within the equipment and FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Brand Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of brands through client engagement, training, and strategic account development.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads and actively prospect for new business opportunities
- Drive growth across new and existing customer accounts
- Develop business through referrals and relationship networks
- Conduct on-site customer training and provide ongoing support and refresher sessions
- Ensure customers maintain adequate stock levels at all times
- Compile and submit weekly progress and performance reports
- Plan and conduct regular visits to clients locally and internationally
- Manage customer relationships and resolve any service or product-related issues
- Collaborate with marketing to effectively promote and position brands
- Support Key Account Managers in identifying and executing growth opportunities
- Liaise with procurement on strategic initiatives and stock planning
- Maintain a structured customer visit schedule (majority end users, remainder dealers)
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- Grade 12 (essential) and a relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
- Proven sales track record, ideally within equipment sales or FMCG
- Background in Sales Executive, Sales-focused Brand Management, or Key Account Management
- Strong customer relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to train, present, and engage with clients effectively
- Good financial acumen and reporting ability
- Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle
