Junior or Graduate QA Tester with Matric Financial Accounting Business Studies subjects This is a Permanent Position – To work at Companies premises – in JHB This is a IT Software company that you would work in Must have a Matric (Grade 12); with Accounting and Business Studies taken as subjects. Must have Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts is a must: general principles, debtors/creditors processes, tax invoicing and VAT in your MAT. Validate financial processes, reports, and transactions; verify calculations and accounting logic. Must have a Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Fixed Assets knowledge is not required but would be a bonus. Some experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous, but is not a requirement: o financial services o accounts department o software testing This role ensures that financial software functionality is delivered as specified and remains stable after enhancements, patches, and configuration changes. If you have worked in a IT software company it would be beneficial The QA Tester plans and executes tests, validates financial calculations and processes, logs and tracks defects, and collaborates with business analysts and developers to deliver a reliable, client-ready solution. • Provide assurance that new and changed functionality works as intended. • Identify defects, inconsistencies, and calculation or processing errors in financial workflows. • Reduce production risk through clear evidence of test coverage and results. Therefore it is safe to say that the role of QA testing is paramount, as it allows for peace of mind that the system is working in the manner that the External Company requested. A QA Tester needs to have the following personal attributes to be successful in the position: • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Methodical, process-driven approach; able to work systematically. • Clear written and verbal communication. • Creative problem-solving and logical thinking. • Quick learner; adaptable in an ever-changing environment. • Reliable, organised, and collaborative team player who thrives on challenges. • Plan and document testing: create test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures. • Draft clear, structured test cases; review and maintain test case quality and traceability. • Execute test cycles (including end-to-end testing) and record evidence of results. • Log, track, and report defects; work with developers to resolve issues and retest fixes. • Collaborate with client/business analysts, testers, and analysts to clarify requirements and expected outcomes. • Strong administrative skills, including accurate record-keeping and documentation. • Ability to understand business and functional requirements and work well under pressure. • Client-service orientation and a consistent focus on quality. For a Graduate or Junior: For someone with a little experience the Monthly Salary would be around R15 000 to R20 000 CTC per Month – which is Not negotiable at all (Monthly Salary is dependent on Qualifications and years of relevant working experience gained regarding this Vacancy only : to Validate financial processes, reports, and transactions; verify calculations and accounting logic. Please Note: A Pension Fund of between 4% – 11% of your Monthly Salary will be deducted from your Monthly Salary, which is mandatory for all employees, the full amount would be also deducted from your Monthly Salary – this is not negotiable. NB: (the Company does not contribute to the Pension Fund at all)
