About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Content Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content across social platforms, executing campaigns, and staying on top of digital trends. Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and publish high-quality content across social platforms (including video, static posts, carousels, and stories)
  • Film and edit short-form video content tailored for each platform
  • Translate campaign ideas into engaging, on-brand creative assets
  • Ensure all output aligns with brand tone, identity, and messaging
  • Execute content plans and ensure timely delivery of campaigns
  • Prepare content for publishing, including captions, tagging, and formatting
  • Manage and organise content assets efficiently across projects
  • Assist with quick turnarounds, edits, and updates when required
  • Stay on top of digital trends, platform updates, and new content formats
  • Bring fresh, relevant ideas to the table regularly
  • Adapt trends in a way that feels authentic to the brand
  • Experiment with new tools and creative approaches
  • Support engagement on social platforms when needed
  • Respond to comments or flag important feedback and sentiment
  • Help build a strong and active online community
  • Monitor how content performs across platforms
  • Use insights to improve future content and strategy
  • Contribute to reporting with key learnings and recommendations
  • Work closely with internal teams to produce meaningful content

Requirements

  • 2–4 years’ experience in social media content creation (agency or in-house)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing short-form video and platform-native content
  • Experience with tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere (or similar)
  • Solid understanding of how major platforms work and what performs
  • Strong creative instinct and attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality
  • Excellent written communication skills
