About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at a high-end private wildlife reserve located in the Kalahari. As part of our dynamic kitchen team, you will have the opportunity to work in a unique luxury bush setting and contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and support the kitchen team to ensure growth and consistency
- Streamline kitchen operations including food prep, stock control, hygiene, and timely service
- Maintain and exceed food hygiene, cleaning, and safety standards in accordance with legislation
- Oversee kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food quality and presentation standards
- Implement effective kitchen administration, minimizing wastage and ensuring accurate stock control
- Take responsibility for any stock shortages, wastage, and variances
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Chef de Partie experience in a 5-star environment
- Proven ability to perform in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Capable of producing food items and menus with exceptional presentation and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of food trends, dietary restrictions, and religious requirements
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures and implementation
- Valid driver’s license

Salary: R12,500 – R15,000 (Negotiable DOE)
