About the Role
The Data Capturer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining various types of data within the company’s information systems. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter data from source documents into relevant databases, spreadsheets, or systems.
- Review and verify data for completeness, correctness, and compliance with established standards.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in information and obtain further information for incomplete documents.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all company data.
- Assist in preparing regular reports and summaries as directed by management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure data consistency and quality.
Requirements
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- Proven experience in data entry, data capture, or a related administrative role
Qualifications
- Additional qualifications in data processing or administration will be an advantage
- Maximo or GSI knowledge will be an advantage
- Understanding of serialization
