About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Muldersdrift, where you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and uphold high culinary standards in hotel kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality for both la carte and high-volume banquet service.
- Design innovative, guest-centric menus that cater to diverse corporate needs, seasonal trends, and specific dietary requirements.
- Manage daily food production schedules to ensure the seamless delivery of multiple coffee breaks, buffet lunches, and formal dinners for up to 400 delegates.
- Direct food procurement in collaboration with the procurement department, manage inventory, and implement cost-control strategies to achieve food cost and labour budget targets.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a large kitchen brigade of 15, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring full compliance with International local health regulations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in an Executive or Executive Sous Chef role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other department heads.
Qualifications
Professional Culinary Arts Diploma/Degree from a recognized institution.
