About the Role

The Northam Mine Manager – Underground Mine is a critical leadership role that oversees the overall underground mining operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing production targets while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for overall underground mining operations
• Ensure full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Manage production targets, costs, and operational performance
• Lead underground mining teams and supervisors
• Ensure implementation of mine plans and safety systems
• Maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture

Requirements

• Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous Mines)
• Minimum 10 years underground mining experience
• At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or management role
• Extensive knowledge of underground mining methods
• Strong leadership and operational management ability
• Valid drivers license
