About the Role
Cape Boiler & Heater is seeking an experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team in the Northern Suburbs. We require a skilled individual with strong workshop and mechanical ability to fit, machine, assemble, repair, and maintain mechanical components and equipment to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit, machine, assemble, repair, and maintain mechanical components and equipment
- Work accurately, safely, and independently
- Take responsibility for work, follow instructions properly, solve problems on the job, and maintain high workmanship standards
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and technical instructions
- Use workshop machinery, tools, and measuring equipment correctly and safely
Requirements
- Proven experience in a heavy industrial, boiler, mechanical, or engineering environment
- Strong practical ability in fitting, turning, machining, assembly, maintenance, and repair work
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and technical instructions
- Competence in fault-finding, alignment, and fitting of components
- Good safety awareness and housekeeping
- Physically fit
