About the Role
The Head of Commercial will be responsible for leading the commercial department, driving growth, and developing scalable systems to support business expansion. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, who can build and lead high-performing teams, drive new business development, and represent the company at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable systems, processes, and frameworks to support growth
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures across client success, onboarding, support, and marketing
- Implement tools and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational friction
- Build and lead a high-performing, accountable team with clear KPIs
- Define and execute the commercial strategy aligned to growth objectives
- Drive new business development and identify partnership opportunities
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies
- Represent the business at industry events and client engagements
- Own the end-to-end client success strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Monitor client performance metrics to proactively manage retention, upsell, and expansion
- Oversee the support function to ensure efficient issue resolution
- Define and manage SLAs, escalation protocols, and service standards
- Promote a proactive, solutions-driven support culture
- Lead client onboarding and system rollout processes
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful client adoption
- Act as the liaison between clients and development teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Agricultural Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in a commercial, client success, or business development role
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Demonstrated success in client growth, retention, and revenue expansion
