About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hospitality General Manager to join our luxury safari camp based in Phalaborwa. As a senior hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury safari operations, guest experience, and team leadership, you will take full responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the camp, ensuring world-class service delivery, exceptional guest experiences, and high operational standards across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the luxury safari camp
- Lead and coordinate all hospitality departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Ensure the highest standards of service, presentation, and operational excellence
- Manage and mentor department heads and camp teams
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where required
- Ensure effective stock control, budgeting, cost management, and financial performance
- Oversee beverage, curio, and operational revenue targets
- Maintain excellent standards across housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest areas
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and company standards
- Manage guest relations and handle special requests with professionalism and discretion
- Drive staff development, training, and performance management
- Work closely with senior management to implement operational strategies and improvements
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or similar qualification
- Extensive experience within luxury safari lodge or camp operations
- Previous senior management experience within a luxury 4 or 5-star safari property
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent financial and operational management abilities
- Strong understanding of luxury hospitality service standards
- Proficient in property management systems and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional communication and guest relations skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a remote environment

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 depending on experience. Live-in position
