Location: Camperdown and Underberg
A well-established and reputable company within the security industry is seeking a skilled and reliable Alarm Technician to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding of alarm and security systems at residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and commission alarm systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of security systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults on alarm systems and related equipment.
- Install and maintain CCTV, access control, electric fencing, and intercom systems where required.
- Perform site inspections and system testing to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to call-outs and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients.
- Complete service reports and related documentation accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar security installation role.
- Knowledge of alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and related security equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- PSIRA registration (advantageous).
- Electrical or technical qualification (advantageous).
- Willingness to work overtime and attend emergency call-outs when required.
