Job Description
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG operations management
- At least 3 years in a middle management role
- Proven experience managing large teams in FMCG retail and/or wholesale environments
- Strong background in sales and merchandising operations
- Wholesale experience is essential (non-negotiable)
- Strong analytical and operational planning capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business objectives
- Monitor KPIs, budgets, and cost controls
- Analyse operational performance and implement improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
2. Sales & Merchandising Excellence
- Drive sales performance across retail and wholesale channels
- Ensure stock availability and reduce out-of-stock situations
- Oversee merchandising standards and in-store execution
- Manage promotional compliance and execution effectiveness
- Conduct store visits and ensure execution quality
3. Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers
- Address and resolve operational and service-related issues
- Gather and analyse customer feedback and market insights
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, manage, and develop large operational teams
- Conduct performance reviews and development planning
- Drive employee engagement, training, and capability building
- Foster a culture of accountability and high performance
