Pretoria: Events Manager

Job Description

REQUIREMENT: * RSA ID and legal residence essential * Minimum 5 years’ experience in lodge, hotel, venue, or hospitality management * Proven sales and business development experience * Demonstrated ability to generate leads, network, and close sales * Strong event planning and event management experience * Valid Driver’s License and own reliable transport essential * Strong understanding of stock control, cash handling, and financial reconciliation * Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills * Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work independently * Professional presentation and high personal standards * Physically fit and energetic * Sober habits essential * Willingness to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and peak seasons as required * Hospitality, Events Management, or Business qualification advantageous * CRM and booking system experience advantageous * Staff management and leadership experience advantageous KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Generate new business through networking, referrals, marketing leads, and cold calling * Manage the full sales process from enquiry to booking confirmation * Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the event lifecycle * Plan, coordinate, and oversee events from setup through to breakdown * Ensure exceptional client and guest experiences at every event * Manage event logistics, timelines, staffing, and operational requirements * Lead and supervise event teams to ensure successful execution * Coordinate with operational departments to ensure seamless service delivery * Manage stock control, cash-ups, and financial reconciliations * Maintain venue presentation, cleanliness, and operational standards * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures * Contribute to revenue growth and business development initiatives PACKAGE: * R16,000 Basic Salary per month * 3% commission on the gross value of every event signed and successfully delivered (excluding bar revenue) * On-target earnings of approximately R20,000 R30,000 per month as the event portfolio grows * Overnight accommodation available when operationally required LOCATION: Pretoria Gauteng
