About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Analyst to join our team in Pretoria for a 12-month contract. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. Your expertise in testing RPA bots and PowerApps solutions will be instrumental in identifying defects, troubleshooting problems, and implementing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and automation requirements to understand what the RPA bots and PowerApps solutions are expected to do.
- Create test plans that define the scope, objectives, and approach for testing RPA bots and PowerApps solutions.
- Design detailed test cases that cover various scenarios, including edge cases, to ensure all aspects of the functionality is tested.
- Validate individual components or scripts to ensure they work as expected.
- Execute functional, integration, non-functional, and automated test cases and report on the software quality for the domain under test.
- Ensure that any new changes or fixes do not break existing functionality.
- Log any issues or defects found during testing, with detailed steps to reproduce and expected vs. actual results.
- Work closely with RPA and PowerApps developers to resolve identified defects.
- Generate test summary reports to communicate the quality and readiness of applications under test.
- Verify that the RPA bot, PowerApps, and Power Automate solution comply with regulatory requirements specific to the industry, such as data privacy laws.
- Maintain proper documentation of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results.
- Recommend improvements to the RPA bots and PowerApps solutions testing process based on lessons learned and best practices.
Requirements
- Information technology-related diploma or degree
- Testing related certification at foundation level (e.g. ISTQB Foundation Certification)
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a Test Analyst/ Test Specialist/ Tester role within an IT environment
